Toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers are invited to join us for a Bible story, activities, songs, and prayer. This is a fun time for kids and adults to have faith-based social time during the week with connection points to well-known children’s books and themes!

Narcotics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who are seeking or have found release from drugs. This group meets regularly to help each other stay clean. This study partners the compassion of Jesus with the passion of Christ. We see how the heart of God is moved by the heart of humanity and his response to our loud cry for help. We discover the world-changing result of being recipients of his compassion and the reason for his passion, all the way to the cross. Ultimately, Mark intends for the action-packed presentation of who Jesus is to lead us to acknowledge Jesus, find salvation in him, and follow him.

The first 30 minutes will be reserved for fellowship each week.

Kairos is a grace-based community of college students that freely shares the soul-satisfying love of Jesus! Kairos provides opportunities to connect, worship, grow and serve alongside other college students.

This short presentation will highlight three exciting opportunities to serve this summer: our international trip to South Africa in partnership with Blessman International, our medical mission trip to Honduras with our partner MDM, and our domestic trip to New Mexico with our partner Rehoboth.

Whether you’re simply curious, prayerfully considering going, or already feeling called to one of these trips, this is a great chance to hear more about the heart behind each mission, what the teams will be doing, and what participants can expect. There will be an opportunity after the presentation to ask any questions you may have.

Join us on Monday nights this winter as we journey through Season 1 of “The Chosen,” a powerful series that brings the life of Jesus and His first followers to the screen in a fresh, relatable way. Each week we’ll watch an episode and spend time in discussion—processing what stood out, asking questions, and reflecting on what it means for our own walk with Jesus today. Whether you’re brand new to “The Chosen” or have watched it before, this is a great chance to slow down, see the Gospels through a different lens, and connect with others in real conversation.

This program is based on recovery for compulsive gamblers, debtors/spenders, and anyone seeking recovery from addictions. Meetings emphasize a solution rather than the problem.

The Alpha Course in an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner during thought-provoking weekly sessions.  Each week, participants (ae 18+) meet for a meal and large group talk followed by small group discussion.  The course includes a retreat with teachings on the Holy Spirit (dates TBD) at Hope West Des Moines.

Step into the season of Lent with intention and creativity. In this hands-on class, you will create a personalized Lenten journal designed to support reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth throughout the 40 days of Lent. 

Using simple materials and guided prompts, you’ll assemble a meaningful journal while exploring ways to use writing, Scripture, and quiet reflection to deepen your walk during this sacred season. No prior journaling or crafting experience is needed—just a willingness to pause, reflect, and create.

Online Alpha is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, nonthreatening manner during thought-provoking weekly sessions. Each week, participants meet online for a large group talk followed by small group discussion, including a week when they can ask the pastors questions.

Join your sisters in Christ as we seek to set our sails to the wind of God’s Holy Spirit. We engage in multiple studies throughout the year. Join anytime.

Join us on the first and second Monday of the month in writing Words of Hope for those who are incarcerated. Rooted in the love of Christ, this volunteer opportunity brings hope and encouragement to those who are incarcerated through short handwritten notes. Each note serves as a reminder that they are not forgotten, deeply loved by God, and that redemption and restoration are always possible through His grace. Supplies provided and NO writing expertise required.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones is a support group of parents helping parents that meets every week to offer education and support for those with a son or daughter battling addiction. PAL can also help spouses who have partners with addiction issues. PAL is especially helpful for parents and spouses, but all other sober family members and friends (age 18 and older) are welcome at our meetings. You will have an opportunity to give support and receive support from others facing the same challenges.

As you consider wisdom principles on everyday topics like words, work, friendship, marriage, parenting, neighborliness, money management, leadership influence, and more, you’ll discover the wisdom of Proverbs as an invitation to steadily walk God’s way in God’s world.

Mommy & Me Music is an opportunity for caregivers and children to sing, dance, and play together while introducing children to Jesus Christ through the gift of music. This class is best suited for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Connecting through music helps fuel children’s early brain development and bonding.

Every other Tuesday, Jan. 13-April 21, 9:30-11:00 am

Join us as we open the Gospel of John together and move from simply knowing about Jesus to truly knowing Him. In” John: Believe I Am” by Megan Fate Marshman, we’ll walk through Jesus’ seven “I am” statements and discover what they reveal about His heart, His character, and His love for us. This 8-week journey will help us spend time with Jesus, build trust in Him, and share real life with Him.

Each session will include teaching, Scripture, and table discussion with other women learning to respond to Jesus’ invitation: Come and know Me. Come as you are—whether you’re new to Bible study or have been following Jesus for years. This is a space to be honest, ask questions, and grow in relationship with the One who says, “I am.”

Join us each week for an interactive Bible study with one of our pastors. Each Tuesday we’ll take a “deeper dive” into the previous weekend’s message and walk through the scriptures together as we journey through the four Gospels during 2026. There will be plenty of time for group discussion, community building, and growing in how to read and understand the Bible in a deeper way. Guests are welcome anytime – so come for one week or come for all!

Practicing the Way is an 8-session class where we’ll look at what it means to be an apprentice of Jesus in real life. This group study, led by Scott Hedrick and Jason Monaghan, will explore Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert’s “When Helping Hurts: An Online Video-Based Study on Alleviating Poverty.” Join anytime as we study together and encourage one another!

Outrageous Justice is designed to awaken Christians to the need for justice that restores. In this 6-week class, participants will learn the challenges in the American criminal justice system and explore how Christians can respond in hands-on ways to pursue justice and bring about true hope, restoration, and healing.

Teachers’ Shalom is a place for wholeness, flourishing, harmony, and delight for educators. Join us as we go through studies together and discuss how we can live out our faith in the context of the classroom. From Jan. 13 to April 21, we will go through “Relaxed: Walking With the One Who Is Not Worried About a Thing” by Megan Fate Marshman, followed by a study of Ephesians from April 28 to May 26.

To begin, we will walk through “Relaxed” and turn the lies we tell ourselves as teachers into God’s truth, rooted in his word. With God’s truth, strength, and word, we will be stronger and more relaxed than ever before when walking into our schools and classrooms. Join us—there’s a seat at the table for you!

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences: the death of a loved one. Each week, we will cover different topics related to grief through videos, group discussion, workbook readings and writing exercises, and prayer. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

Do you often leave weekend worship wanting to keep the conversation going? This weekly study led by Hope pastors will go a little deeper into the content of each week’s sermon and give you the opportunity to ask questions and explore biblical themes. (We will not meet Nov. 27, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and March 19).

Join other women as we learn about and practice meditating on Scripture! We will examine different ways of internalizing Scripture, such as memorization tools, music, and group work. If you’ve ever wondered how to write God’s word on your heart and practice meditation, this is for you!

Together, we experience the joy of musical worship, prayer, and praise while using Scriptural references within the songs to learn about God’s word. Faith Foundations is a 4-week class for adults and parents who want to grow more confident in reading the Bible, talking with God, and helping their kids do the same. We’ll spend two weeks on simple, practical ways to read Scripture, and two weeks exploring everyday ways to pray—whether you’re busy, tired, or not sure where to start. This will be a relaxed space to ask questions, practice together, and walk away with ideas you can use at home with your family. Childcare is provided.

HopeFamilies Wednesdays is a time for families with kids age 3 – grade 5 to spend quality time together through activities, Bible stories, music, games and fun!

Please register all adults and kids who will be attending with your family.

Come together each week with others who love to sing! Participants should be committed to weekly rehearsals and singing once a month during multiple services in addition to special events and holidays. There are no tryouts for this group.

This group gives single moms time to connect with others walking a similar journey and, together, seek what matters most. At each gathering, single moms can expect time to share, listen, laugh, and grow while participating in relevant studies in a healthy, encouraging environment.

HopeKids Wednesdays is our high-energy midweek program during the school year for children in grades K-5. Children participate in fun, relational small groups followed by dynamic, intentional large group time. It’s a great addition to what kids are learning on the weekends at HopeKids!

PowerLife is a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where junior high students (grades 6-8) can explore the Bible, ask challenging questions about life, meet new friends, and confirm their faith in Jesus Christ.

Each group will begin in the Worship Center for large group teaching followed by small group discussion in classrooms.

Hope+Elim is partnering alongside Single Parent Provision (SPP) to provide a single mom’s group to allow for connection and support with other moms, growing deeper in their faith with Jesus and allow for practical support in their journey. 

The evening will begin with SPP participants joining in Hope+Elim’s Community Night Meal in the Commons until 6:15 pm, Worship from 6:15-6:30 pm and then small group time will begin. Care for children will be provided from 6:30-7:45 pm in the Nursery for infants- age 3 (not potty-trained), at Hope+Elim Kids Wednesdays for age 3 (potty-trained) – grade 4, or at Student Ministry for those in grades 5-8.

Hope+Elim Kids Wednesdays is a high-energy midweek program for children age 3 (and potty-trained) through grade 4 for parents and guardians participating in an adult class or involved with a Wednesday night ministry. We encourage families to come for Community Night between 5:00-6:15 pm and then worship from 6:15-6:30 pm before heading to their separate groups and ministries. Kids will participate in fun, relational small groups followed by dynamic, intentional large group. This program is a great addition to what kids are learning on the weekends at Hope+Elim Kids!

PowerLife & Ignition students will join together for a night of Prayer and Worship where students experience prayer in new and interactive ways, take part in an extended time of worship, and have the opportunity to receive or renew their baptism.

Padres de Seres Queridos con Adicción (PAL) es un grupo de apoyo de padres que ayudan a otros padres. Nos reunimos cada semana para ofrecer educación y apoyo, sin costo alguno, para padres que están lidiando con un hijo o hija que lucha contra la adicción. PAL también puede ayudar a cónyuges que tienen una pareja con problemas de adicción. PAL es especialmente útil para padres y cónyuges, familiares y amigos sobrios (de 18 años en adelante), todos son bienvenidos a nuestras reuniones. Parents of Addicted Loved Ones is a support group of parents helping parents that meets every week to offer education and support for those with a son or daughter battling addiction. PAL can also help spouses who have partners with addiction issues. PAL is especially helpful for parents and spouses, but all other sober family members and friends (age 18 and older) are welcome at our meetings. You will have an opportunity to give support and receive support from others facing the same challenges.

Come and experience a wonderful time of silent soaking and/or verbal prayer with trained prayer partners. All are welcome!

Celebration Place is a complementary children’s resource to Celebrate Recovery for children age 5 – grade 6. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, kids have the opportunity to discover the same truths in age-appropriate ways. Celebration Place is designed to inspire kids with hope, joy, and happiness while they learn to rely on God.

The Landing is designed to be a safe place for teenagers to come and talk about real-life situations and how to cope with them in a healthy way. The Landing is a year-round program that teaches biblical principles that can be used in almost any situation we may encounter in life. Leaders come alongside teenagers and build strong relationships that empower students to share their stories, build relationships with God, and find peace in the midst of whatever storms they are in.

Celebrate Recovery provides a healthy healing environment for adults affected by hurts, habits, and hang-ups. IF: Table is a simple space for women to slow down, enjoy some snacks, and have honest conversations about life and faith.

This season at IF: Table we’ll be going through “Miracles of Jesus,” a seven-session study filmed on location in Israel with teaching from Jennie Allen, Bianca Juárez Olthoff, Jada Edwards, and Sadie Robertson. Together we’ll walk through stories from all four Gospels and see how Jesus healed, provided, calmed storms, and even raised the dead—and what that reveals about His heart for us today.

Each night we’ll watch a short video from “Miracles of Jesus,” enjoy snacks, and walk through discussion questions around the table as we connect and encourage one another as women and followers of Jesus. Together we’ll notice how His miracles reveal His kindness, compassion, and power in the lives of ordinary people—and how He is still at work in our stories today. On Feb. 12, we’ll pause our study for a special Galentine’s Day celebration, taking an evening to celebrate women, friendship, and the gift of community together!

Mommy & Me Music is a wonderful opportunity for caregivers and their children to sing, dance and play together while introducing children to Jesus Christ through the gift of music. This class is best suited for children aged 6 months – 5 years. For safety, the class is capped at 50 children each semester. A small snack is provided for each child at the end of each class.

In this book study, author Melissa Spoelstra explores Scripture from Genesis to Revelation to learn about angels—who they are, what they do, and why it matters for your life. Angels is a call to put your hope in the God who reigns over heaven and earth.

The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner during thought-provoking weekly sessions. Each week, participants (age 18+) meet for a meal and large group talk followed by small group discussion. The course includes the Alpha Day Away, where many local Alpha Courses gather for a fun day of teachings, and discussion about the Holy Spirit on Feb. 28.

Join other young adults for a night of worship at WinterJam 2026! We will meet at Hope Ankeny at 4:00 pm to carpool or meet us at the doors at 4:30 pm! Casey’s Center has a clear bag policy and is a cashless venue. Tickets are $15 at the door. We will purchase tickets together as a group when everyone arrives!

AA membership is open to all those who desire to do something about their drinking problem. The primary purpose of AA is to carry the message of recovery to the alcoholic seeking help. AA can serve as a source of personal experience and be an ongoing support system for recovering alcoholics.

The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, nonthreatening manner during thought-provoking weekly sessions. Each week, participants meet for a meal and large group talk, followed by small group discussion.

The course includes an Alpha Day Away on Saturday, Feb. 28, with teachings on the Holy Spirit.

Note: Alpha will take place from 12:30-2:45 pm on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8.

Find a space for faith-filled fellowship in this group for military families and friends, where you can pray for and support your loved ones serving in the military. This group meets online via Zoom. Please register to receive the meeting link.

Parents of Addicted Loved Ones is a support group of parents helping parents. We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month to offer education and support, at no cost, for parents who are dealing with a son or daughter battling addiction. PAL can also help spouses who have a partner with addiction issues. PAL is especially helpful for parents and spouses, but all other sober family members and friends (age 18 and older) are welcome at our meetings. You will have an opportunity to give support and receive support from others facing the same challenges.
