Principle Function
The Women’s Ministry Coordinator is responsible for working alongside the leaders and volunteer teams of Hope’s women’s minsitry by equipping and empowering volunteer leaders, groups, and classes in the resources they need, supporting the events and classes of the ministry, and brainstorming new ways to grow and expand the ministry to meet the needs of the women we serve.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to implement the vision and strategy for women’s ministry
- Champion a welcoming, inclusive, and spiritually enriching environment for women in various stages of life & seasons of faith
- Communicate effectively with volunteer leaders and staff
- Coordinate with administrative staff to publish and communicate class details in a timely manner
- Support events and classes as needed – including various weeknights and weekends
- Equip and empower volunteers in tasks that support the ministry – event planning, class facilitation, dreaming, serving, etc.
- Plan, organize, and execute events, small groups, studies, and gatherings alongside volunteers
- Ensure all logistics are handled with excellence, including scheduling, materials, and communication

- Possess Christ-centered, joy-filled passion for ministry flowing from a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Extremely strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and boundary ministry with personal and family life
- Ability to communicate effectively with people
- Commitment to always reflect in the best possible light Lutheran Church of Hope, its staff, and the mission, vision, and values of its Constitution
- Willingness to work with, reflecting in the best possible light, and to serve as a positive resource forall congregations of the LCMC and other local congregations of other denominations
Position Details
Requirements:
- Detail orientated and able to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Outgoing personality and able to maintain control under stressful situations
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Highly creative, running with a proposed concept and creating something new
- Maintain organized systems for tracking participation, volunteers, and events
- Manage calendars, registrations, and ministry resources
Hours: Part Time, Average of 15 hrs/week
Supervisor: Women’s Ministry Leader
Pay and Benefits: Commensurate with Position & Experience, based upon National Wage Survey(s)
