The Student Ministry Worship Coordinator is responsible for organizing, leading, and shepherding students through musical worship at PowerLife (middle school) and Ignition (high school) student ministries. These ministries meet every Wednesday night during the school year. This position requires musical ability, a servant heart for people, intuitive leadership skills, organization, adaptability, problem solving, a collaborative mindset, and most importantly, a servant heart for Jesus Christ. The Student Ministry Worship Coordinator follows and upholds the mission, vision, and values of Lutheran Church of Hope.

• 1+ years worship leading
  • OR 3+ years worship experience
• Proficient in acoustic guitar and/or piano
• Proficient in singing – melody and harmony
• Ability to learn and navigate Mac and Windows operating system
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to run a rehearsal with a full band
• Ability to lead solo from piano**
• Experience with Ableton Live, ProPresenter, and Planning Center**
  **Not required, but highly favorable.

• Lead students in musical worship at Student Ministry (PowerLife and Ignition) on Wednesday nights
• Coordinate and lead all worship components of Student Ministry services
  • Be prepared and on time to facilitate and lead band rehearsals 
• Encourage the musical and spiritual development of students & volunteers
  • Walk alongside, pray for, and support the team
• Engage with the church congregation in and out of worship
• Dress appropriately for the job and services you’re leading
• Other duties as assigned by Worship Leader
  • The Student Ministry Worship Coordinator may be asked to substitute and fill in on weekend services as needed by Worship Leader. 
  • The Student Ministry Worship Coordinator may be asked to serve on special service worship teams such as Christmas, Holy Week, and other “garage door” events.

Hours: Part Time 10hrs/week on a rotating schedule (see below)

Supervisor: Worship Leader (Delaney Nasalroad)

Wednesdays, 4:30-8:30 pm (4 hours)

Additional 6 hours are met through 1:1 meetings with Worship Leader, coordinating Student Ministry services (uploading setlists, scheduling teams, etc.) and leading at other services (optional). 4 hours is the minimum schedule for the Student Ministry Coordinator.
