Principle Function
The Food Service Coordinator works alongside the Food Service Director to provide meals and snacks to the Childcare Center, and prepare and serve meals for weekend Worship Services
Responsibilities
- Responsible for putting away orders as they are delivered
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and solve problems as they arise
- Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production
- Ensure that working areas are always kept clean
- Assist other kitchen staff and volunteers as needs arise
- Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food – in quality, quantity, and safety
- Promote good team spirit regularly
- Presence & participation at WDM worship services and primary events
- Extra duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience Required
- Strives to live a Christ-centered life, stemming from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Has worked in a kitchen setting that feeds more than 50 people at a time
- Able to work with commercial equipment
- Ability to prep and cook large quantity meals
- Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective relationships and communication with church staff and ministries, volunteers, church members, and guests
- Demonstrates honesty and integrity, respects confidentiality and Hope policies
- Works independently and with confidence, demonstrating initiative and ability to work without close supervision
- Commitment to always reflect in the best possible light Lutheran Church of Hope, its staff, and its mission
Position Details
Hours:
- Full Time (40 hours)
- Flexible Schedule with weekends and some holidays
