Principle Function
The Service Director provides leadership for Production staff and volunteers during preparation and execution of Weekend Worship services and Student Ministry Wednesday evening services.
Primary Functions
- Weekly focus on Saturday PM/Sunday AM, and Sunday PM Weekend Worship services and PowerLife and Ignition (Student Ministry) Wednesday evening services.
- Prepare for services, including:
- Download assets and setup computers before service run-through.
- Confirm that other roles have completed their pre-service checklists.
- Lead the service run-through and pre-game.
- Meet and greet each volunteer. Create community with the team.
- Call cues for broadcast hosts, lighting, video switching, computer graphics during services.
- Monitor PCO Live (live chat between roles and campuses) and respond to comments.
- Problem-solve with authority and confidence. Take charge as necessary should something go amiss.

- Adhere to Lutheran Church of Hope Staff Covenant for spiritual, personal and professional relationships and behavior.
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer and personal learning.
Skills, Education and Experience Required
- At least age 21.
- Experience volunteering with the Production team is helpful but not required.
- Possess Christ-centered, joy-filled passion for ministry which flows from a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Commitment to always reflect in the best possible light Lutheran Church of Hope and its staff, and the mission, vision, and values of its Constitution.
Position Details:
Hours:
- Part-time, hourly
- Requires weekends, evenings, and holidays
- On a 2–3-week rotation, generally 10-15 hours per rotation week
- Sample schedule might be Saturday 2:00-7:00 pm and Sunday 6:15 am – 1:15 pm, or Sunday 2:00-7:00 pm, or Wednesday 4:15-9:30 pm.
