Welcome to Hope Iowa City!

At a Special Congregational Meeting on July 21, the Lutheran Church of Hope congregation voted to approve Hope’s Local Site in Iowa City becoming an official Hope campus. We are excited to welcome Pastor Brody Tubaugh as Hope Iowa City’s campus pastor, and look forward to the official launch of Hope Iowa City on Sunday, Sept. 8! In the meantime, please continue to worship with us Sundays at 9:30 am in the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center. All are welcome, so spread the word! We can’t wait to see what God is going to do through Hope Iowa City!

What’s Happening at Hope Iowa City?

In addition to weekend worship, Hope Iowa City offers Kairos for college students, a monthly Bible study, women’s Bible study and Alpha periodically.

Kairos is Hope’s college ministry that meets on Wednesday nights at 8:00 pm in Old Brick, 26 E. Market St., Iowa City, following the University of Iowa academic calendar. Wednesday nights involve a service with worship, a message, discussion time, fellowship and occasional social events before or after the service. Kairos also offers a variety of small group Bible studies throughout the week that dive deeper into that Wednesday’s message.

We currently have two Bible studies that meet throughout the week. Join us after service on the first Sunday of the month for a Bible study to dive into the Word, discuss the message, and connect with one another. We also have a women’s Bible study that meets on Mondays at 10:00 am.

If you’re interested in any Hope Iowa City ministry or have questions, please reach out to [email protected] and we’ll get you connected!
